A family is described in which infantile cortical hyperostosis developed in two and possibly
in three generations. This observation lends support to the suggestion that, in some
instances at least, this disorder is a familial disease. In the family here recorded it would
appear to be transmitted by a dominant autosomal gene with reduced penetrance.
